Introduction

You load your pack, strap on your boots and kick off from the Sirimon Gate into a world
that’s already whispering promise. The trail carves its way up through open heath and
moorlands, your lungs reminding you you’re alive. First leg takes you to Old Moses Camp,
where you stretch, suck down water, and tease the air for what’s coming. Then the ascent
presses on: ridges give way to views, valleys open up to sky-lined horizons, and every
switchback earns you more altitude.
By mid-day you crest up toward Shipton’s Camp, perched high at ~4,200-m, with rugged
rock spires leaning in, thin air making each step a challenge — but the kind that tastes like
victory when you reach the hut. Once there, you pause, maybe lounge, maybe grin like a mad
person (because you earned this), before the return trek back down. All in all, ~33 km of up, of open skies, of moorland wind, of legs that burn and soul that breathes. It’s not just a day
hike — it’s a high-country story, told step by step
